8.1 Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI)
As a provider of telecommunications services, Tychron collects and maintains Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) — such as call detail records, service configuration, and usage data — in the course of providing service. CPNI is protected under Section 222 of the Communications Act (47 U.S.C. § 222) and FCC rules.
Tychron does not use or permit access to CPNI to market services outside of the total service approach specified in 47 C.F.R. § 64.2005, and does not sell CPNI. Internal access to CPNI is restricted on a need-to-know basis, and customer-side access controls let account administrators limit which of their users can view sensitive data. Disclosure of call detail requires customer authentication that does not rely on readily available biographical or account information. Tychron maintains breach-notification procedures consistent with FCC rules and files the annual officer's CPNI compliance certification required by 47 C.F.R. § 64.2009(e). Questions about CPNI may be directed to [email protected].
